Add the notetaker to every eligible calendar meeting

Connect a calendar, enable automatic attendance, and check the schedule so you know where recordings will go.

About 5 minutes to set up; recordings appear after meetings are processed.

You start with
Google or Outlook Calendar events with supported online meeting links.
You end with
Automatic attendance enabled for selected calendars, with scheduled recordings you can inspect.

Follow the steps

  1. Connect your calendar

Open connected apps and connect Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar with the account that owns your meeting invitations.

Settings → Integrations → Connected apps (opens in a new tab)
  2. Enable automatic attendance

Open the meeting notetaker settings and turn on Automatically join meetings. Connecting a calendar by itself does not enable attendance.

Settings → Meetings → Meeting notetaker (opens in a new tab)
  3. Choose sources and the recording destination

Under Save recordings to, choose Personal or an editable workspace. Enable the Google Calendar and/or Outlook Calendar sources you want, then choose Save settings and Check calendars.

Settings → Meetings → Save recordings to (opens in a new tab)
  4. Inspect scheduled recordings

Check upcoming rows and any status explanation. After a meeting, choose Open recording to inspect its transcript and confirm it was saved to the intended destination.

Settings → Activity → Scheduled recordings (opens in a new tab)

Check the result

  • The meeting settings show automatic attendance enabled, the selected sources, and the intended destination.
  • Scheduled recordings show upcoming meetings or an explanation when attendance cannot proceed.
  • A processed meeting opens its recording and transcript in the chosen destination.

Before you finish

  • Eligible events need a supported meeting URL. All-day, cancelled, declined, and undated events are skipped.
  • Meeting admission, host settings, billing, and provider availability can affect attendance. Check schedule errors when a recording is missing.
  • Personal recordings stay private. Saving to a workspace makes them available according to that workspace’s access rules.
