Make business cards ready for the print handoff

Choose the card’s print format, review both sides, and download a pack with the files and instructions your printer needs.

About 10 minutes to set up and review; generation and print rendering take additional time.

You start with
Your contact details, a chosen card size, and optional brand artwork.
You end with
A reviewed business-card design and a print pack with separate files for each side.

Follow the steps

  1. Choose the card and its format

Open Stationery, set Product to Business cards, and choose Me under Who is it for? In Format, select the Size, Orientation, printing option, and Sides to match your printer’s requirements.

Creative Studio → Stationery → Format (opens in a new tab)
  2. Add the content and optional brand

Fill Content with the exact contact details. Add a Brand, Logo, Artwork, or QR code if needed. Check the QR destination and the copy before choosing Generate business card set.

Stationery → Content (opens in a new tab)
  3. Inspect both sides and Preflight

Check spelling, contrast, trim, safe areas, and any QR code. Read Preflight notices and fix the design in the editor where needed before preparing the files.

Stationery → card set → Preflight (opens in a new tab)
  4. Download the print pack

Choose Print pack (Staples) to build the pack. Review Before you upload, then download the ZIP or available PDFs. Read the README and use the correct separate front and back files in the printer’s ordering flow.

Stationery → Print pack (opens in a new tab)

Check the result

  • The card details and both sides are correct, and preflight notices have been reviewed.
  • The pack includes the available per-side PDFs, PNG fallbacks, and printing instructions.
  • Downloaded files use the size and sides you chose.

Before you finish

  • Preflight reports issues but does not block pack creation. Resolve problems before placing a print order.
  • The pack shows whether PDF/X is available for that output. Follow the printer’s accepted file requirements.
  • The printer decides acceptance, stock, price, and turnaround. A generated pack does not reserve same-day printing.
